To turn continuous health signals into meaningful action.
A future where health is continuously understood and care is always one step ahead.
What if healthcare could understand what happens between the moments?
For our founder, Parveen Panwar, this mission began long before the company existed. A repeat technology entrepreneur with multiple successful startup exits and decades of experience building, scaling, and commercializing technology companies, Parveen watched his father live with multiple chronic diseases. He also witnessed the same story unfold across many members of his extended family as they battled diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, and other chronic conditions. Like millions of families around the world, they relied on a healthcare system built around appointments every few months.
Between appointments, health never stood still. Blood pressure shifted. Weight changed. Sleep, activity, nutrition and stress changed with it. Each signal was telling part of the story, but patients and care teams rarely had a continuous picture that brought those changes together over time. Without that context, it was difficult to know what was changing, what truly mattered, what deserved attention, and when it was time to act.
While traveling in India during the COVID-19 pandemic, Parveen contracted COVID-19 himself. During his recovery, he discovered the remarkable impact that breathing exercises, mindfulness, and simple daily habits could have on healing. At the same time, his family experienced an unimaginable loss when his father passed away during the pandemic.
He realized that while healthcare excels at diagnosing and treating illness, our long-term health is shaped every day by how we breathe, sleep, move, eat, recover, and manage stress. Recovery and prevention are not built during appointments - they are built through thousands of small decisions made between those appointments.
At the same time, Dr. Michael Kurisu, DO was arriving at the same conclusion from inside clinical practice. A board-certified physician in Family Medicine and Integrative Medicine, founder of Measured Wellness, and a nationally recognized advocate for personalized, preventative, and integrative care - Dr. Kurisu had spent more than two decades helping patients through lifestyle medicine and advanced diagnostics. During the pandemic, he began monitoring patients continuously between visits - observing changes in sleep, activity, heart rate, and recovery as they occurred, not months later.
That shift transformed the way he practiced medicine. Today, as a co-founder, Dr. Kurisu actively uses Ziva with patients at Measured Wellness - bringing the provider perspective directly into the platform. His ongoing clinical feedback helps shape how Ziva identifies meaningful change, prioritizes what deserves attention, and supports the next action, ensuring the platform is built around the realities physicians and care teams face every day.
When Parveen and Dr. Kurisu met, they realized they had been approaching the same challenge from different perspectives. One had experienced the limitations of healthcare as a son, a patient, and an entrepreneur. The other had experienced those same limitations every day as a physician. Together, they envisioned a healthcare experience where patients and providers remain connected every day - not just during appointments.
Tom Andriola joined as Co-Founder, bringing decades of experience leading healthcare technology and digital transformation at scale. As former Chief Information Officer for the University of California system and UC Health - and previously a senior executive at Philips Healthcare - he helped lead large-scale digital transformation and clinical data initiatives serving millions of patients. His own data-driven health journey reinforced a shared belief: the opportunity wasn’t simply to collect more health information, but to connect it, understand what matters, and turn it into action that can improve care and everyday health.
Hariharan Gurumurthy joined as Chief Technology Officer, bringing deep experience in healthcare technology and a personal passion for improving health. His own health journey gave him firsthand appreciation for how continuous data, personalized understanding and sustainable lifestyle changes can shape long-term wellbeing.
Previously, as an Engineering Manager at Twin Health, Hari built scalable technology for metabolic health and AI-driven care. At Ziva, he leads the engineering organization turning the vision of continuous care into a working platform - connecting clinical data, wearables, labs and patient-reported information, understanding how health changes over time, and building the intelligence that helps determine what matters and what should happen next.
The team was further strengthened when Melissa Grady Dias joined as a key advisor. As former Global Chief Marketing Officer of Cadillac, Melissa brings decades of experience building global brands, leading large-scale transformation and helping people understand and adopt new ideas. Her expertise in brand, go-to-market strategy and customer experience helps Ziva translate a complex healthcare platform into something patients, providers and organizations can clearly understand and use.
Her guidance is helping shape how Ziva brings continuous care to market - building trust with healthcare organizations and clinicians while making the value of better health understanding and action meaningful to the people at the center of care.
Those different perspectives came together around one shared belief: healthcare shouldn’t just have more data - it should be able to understand what is changing, recognize what matters, and help people take the right action.
Today, Ziva is building a continuous health intelligence platform that brings together clinical data and everyday health signals to understand each person over time. For providers, that means less time searching through data and alerts, and more clarity around who needs attention, why, and what to do next. For individuals, it means understanding their health more clearly and having personalized guidance to help them improve it.
The goal is to move healthcare from isolated moments to continuous understanding and action - helping care teams act with better context, helping people make healthier decisions every day, and keeping both connected around the same evolving picture of health.
so neither should care."
